Dr. Rankin's Methods

I have been providing patient-focused care for over 20 years. Depending on the unique needs of each patient, I use both my Western and Eastern education to provide a balanced and tailored approach. Balance is a key pillar within Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which incorporates the use of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine/formulas, tuina massage and various modalities or tools. TCM has been used to treat people of all ages from newborns to seniors. The longer I have been in practice, the more I have focused on TCM methods.

I am a graduate of the University of Toronto, the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and completed studies at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I finished further graduate studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, completing a Fellowship in Rehabilitation Sciences which focused on the treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and prevention of health problems through exercise and other active, patient-driven techniques. I am one of only one hundred chiropractors in Canada to have this unique specialization.

A lifelong learner, my holistic approach to care is one of a healer and a teacher, ensuring you understand your unique care plan, and that you have guidance and support on your path to wellness.

Chronic pain and dysfunction are too common.  Let's get a good understanding of why your body is unable to move past this problem and develop a plan to get you moving right.  I often begin with physical therapies and teach specific and proper technique for the exercises.
